I wanted to write a review for two reasons one because I love the jacket, but also because of the sizing, I thought what I will tell you here will help you decide what size to buy for your child. My daughter is a slim eight-year-old, and typically I buy a size down for her because size eights are too large. In this case I end up getting a size 10 in this jacket after reading a review that said the jacket fits slim. I'm very glad I did because this jacket fits my daughter absolutely perfectly. With maybe a little room to grow but not much. Keeping in mind that I usually buy a size 7 for my daughter at least in pants - so when you buy this jacket, which I do highly recommend it because it is very warm and comfortable, but keep in mind it fits small.
